Nick let me cut his hair!

=I couldn't believe he asked me to! ...well, kind of. I've been trying to get him to let me cut his hair..well, every haircut since i met him. But i played it cool this time ;)

Nick: "i need a haircut"
Me: "you should go get one after work tomorrow"
Nick: *frowns at hair while trying to smooth it down in the mirror* "i look like a goon"
Me: "You do not"

Silence

Nick: "have you ever cut hair before?"
Me: "Well, i used to cut mine all the time, and i cut my friends once! hers was really short"
Nick: "Did she like it?"
Me: "she loved it! i think i could cut yours"
Nick: "well...IF i let you cut it, how would you do it?"
Me: "um, well. I'd take scissors and start in the back...."
Nick: *after cutting me off* "and if you messed it up would you just move to another part of my head? because that's what my mom used to do. She would start somewhere and get scared when she messed it up so she would move to another part of my head where she would mess up again and i would end up with a ridiculous head."

Poor Nick has some deep seeded issues with his moms haircuts.

Me: "um, no i wouldn't do that"
Nick: "Well, just walk me through everything you would do."
Me: "you know what, i think you should probably just go get it cut after work tomorrow"
Nick: *pause* "i know what your doing, your trying to get me to beg you to cut my hair"
Me: "No, i just really think you should go get it cut by someone who has done it before" ;)
Nick: "alright, i know you want to do it. and i don't think you can mess it up TOO badly"
Me: "your confidence overwhelms me"
Nick: "Please, i really want you to"

And so i did.


That's not to say he was necessarily EXCITED about it.

I didn't get an after picture, but he said he was pleasantly surprised and says he likes it! so, i guess I'm a natural born hair cutter :D. It was funny though when i was working on the top i was standing in front of him so he started talking into my stomach to the baby saying "Hey bubba, I'm letting your mom cut my hair so that when your older she won't mess yours up"

Oh the sacrifice.
